Ashmore Cottage is a heritage-listed Georgian cottage (circa 1830) constructed of convict brick. The property is 3½ star rated (RACT) and is an accredited tourism business with the Tasmanian Tourism Council.

The Cottage is an ideal place from which to explore the delights that Richmond has to offer as it located in the main street of Richmond amongst the shops, cafes and history.
The Cottage is a perfect retreat for the whole family, a group of friends or for a couple wanting a romantic getaway. The cottage is able to accommodate up to 6 guests with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
